Check it out so you can figure out how or if you should upgrade for next seasons events!
Looking over the cross upgrades it looks like we have quite a few people who will be in the Cat 3 field and a good number that should be going from 3 to 2 next season.

Interesting. If you won or earned points in races other than the A races locally, does that qualify as upgrade points? If so, there will be lots of upgrading to be done.

From reading the upgrade...
From reading the upgrade rules it appears that way to me. Our cat 4, cat 3 groups had more than lower limit of starters required to earn points and many of them met the 2nd and sometimes 3rd tier points distribution rankings. There should be a quite a few people upgrading along with several people that due to winning more races, so they are automatically upgraded.
Read page 11 of the PDF.

So I finally reviewed my...
So I finally reviewed my unimpressive results for last season and compared it to the new upgrade procedures Brad linked above on page 11.
I've got a whopping 2 points of the required 10 to move up. So I'll be racing 3 again this year. :)
Also, while I was checking out results I added up the SICS races (just the cat 3 though) and the only people over 10 points were Ron, Harris & Rob. Welcome to the 2's guys. :D
I guess this means more...
I guess this means more training and less beer.
Wow, I guess some of you...
Wow, I guess some of you cross racers have been chatting away all spring. While I was playing at the IVCP pump park, you guys have been upgrading! If I read the rules right, then you can upgrade from 4-3 just because you showed up 5+ times and suffered like a dog. I did earn one point, I think. Had more of those sorry old 45+ dudes showed up more oftern, more points would have been available. Anyway, How does one go about changing from 4 to 3? Who do you call or how do you make it happen. Nice to see some of those guys in the 45+ will actually be 2's next year!
Really easy actually. Just...
Really easy actually. Just head over to usacycling.org and login. Then select the Upgrade/Downgrade link next to Cyclocross towards the bottom of the page. Paste in your results or resume or whatever you've got and press submit. Kurt Holzer usually shoots you back an email saying it's done within a few hours.
When does cross start? I have...
When does cross start? I have sold all my stuff, am living in a van down by the river and every day I'm out hoppin barriers and luggin the old steed over my shoulder. Can't wait until September!!! Fuller
I would like to put on a race...
I would like to put on a race September 27 or 28. I will know more in 3-4 weeks. Might be held at the Cycling Park since Sandy Point will still be open to the public.

We have some dates. This is a good time to announce this. The website has been redone. It will go live in the next day or so. The forum threads and users will be transferred over but everyone will need to go retrieve their password again, and/or possibly change it. In the meantime, please do NOT post on this site until then. Once it goes live, if you have any questions/problems getting your account going again let me know.
The new site has a calendar feature which I will fill in for the dates of races I am aware of and when the training sessions will start etc.
See you all at the new site! (Thank you Nate for all your hard work on this!!!!)
