BYRDS cyclocross demonstration

This Monday, 9/8/08, there will be a cyclocross demonstration/training session at the Idaho Velopark. This session will take place before and as part the BYRDS group ride. I have invited all of the BYRDS cyclocross riders to come out and I am also inviting any local cyclocross racers to participate. This will be a chance to introduce our sport to many of the kids and parents who may have heard of 'cross, but do not know details of the discipline. I plan to set a course that evening around the cycling and skate park. The emphasis will be on mounts/dismounts, barriers and a short run up. Practice will officially start at 6 PM, but I welcome anyone to come out early (5-5:30) to help set up and get a little more practice. Thanks for coming out to help last night.
You gave some much needed one on one time to a few of the riders and they showed some great improvement. I would really like to have you guys out to practice any time you can make it.

I hope Grace is alright, that looked like a nasty spill. If you are doing the Monday training sessions with the BYRDS, just keep positng them on this forum. Thanks for your nice comments, too!

Grace is doing much better, just a little bruised & scraped up. She's tough.
Practice next week (9/15) is at Camel's back at 6. I will probably get there a little after 5:30. On the 22nd I want to have a 20 minute practice race. We will determine the location next week.
